The Speech Therapy Department at HSC Blumenau addresses the needs of patients who are in bed and have impairment in voice, speech, swallowing, chewing, sucking, hearing, and communication. In most cases, the therapy is focused on swallowing rehabilitation.

The department is also responsible for performing the Hearing Screening Test on all newborns, and for the examination of swallowing (Videofluoroscopy) at our Diagnostic Imaging Center.
