Our Maternal Infant Unit consists of medical doctors, nurses, nurse technicians, speech therapists, nutritionists, physical therapists, psychologists, and an occupational therapist. Together, they offer a specialized and qualified service as an integrated, caring and reliable team supporting the Neonatal and Pediatric ICU and the Maternity and Pediatric Unit.

Maternity and Pediatric Unit (B1)

Our Maternal and Infant Unit team is ready to contribute to one of the best moments of a couple’s life – the childbirth – and make it an unforgettable memory. We have nicely decorated and adaptive rooms to fit every mother’s and baby’s needs. Besides, there is a comfortable playroom fully equipped with toys. The Unit has 23 admission beds.

Childbirth Companion

As it is such a special moment, the expecting mother can allow (with previous authorization) a companion to stay with her during the childbirth. This companion can also have the permission to take photos. Alternatively, the Studio Zuanazzi can be contacted to capture this special moment with professional quality. Companion during hospitalization

In order to promote family bond, HSC Blumenau allows a companion during inpatient care. In shared rooms (semi-private and standard wards), we recommend a female companion to ensure mothers’ privacy.
